Server Licence

Licencing

We offer two types of standard licence for the BlueBridge Wiki Extensions. The single licence is for servers with only one content web application; while the server licence offers you unlimited web applications on a single server. These are described in more detail on the following pages.

This licence model applies to both the 2007 and the 2010 versions of the Wiki Extensions.

Example

In a simple SharePoint configuration with a single server, there are generally two web applications:

  • One for the Central Administration
  • One for the content sites

Since the Wiki Extensions do not need to be installed on the Central Administration, you would only have to purchase a single licence in this scenario. If you have several web applications on the server, then you will need the server licence.

You will need to have a licence for all the WFEs where the BlueBridge Wiki Extensions are to be installed and used. If you are using network load balancing, then your users may be accessing the information from any one of the servers and so all of them will need to be licenced.

We offer a discount of 50% for non-productive servers (e.g. test, development and staging).

When ordering by email, please make sure you state the number of servers and web applications where you would like to install the Wiki Extensions. Please also tell us the computer names of the servers so that we can generate the licences.

Pricing for multiple server environments, as well as discounts for educational, governmental and non-profit organisations are available upon request.

Maintenance & Support

The Maintenance and Support programme entitles you to free upgrades and technical support.

This is mandatory for all licences (including non-productive licences) in the first year, and is extended automatically on an annual basis thereafter.

Of course you can cancel this obligation for subsequent years by giving us at least 4 weeks' notice before the start of the next programme year. More information can be found here.
